Description

The chances of an EMS provider encountering a LVAS, LVAD, or HVAD patient in the field is rapidly increasing.  Will you know what to do in the event of VAD failure?  Is your patient exhibiting symptoms of VAD failure or systemic infection?  What is the problem is something else entirely?  Why can't you just take the patient to your local hospital?
